Friday, February 25th at 7pm Delta College Planetarium
As a physicist, Lightman has made fundamental contributions to the understanding of relativistic gravity,
black holes, globular clusters and radiative processes. Lightman is the author of five novels, two collections of essays,
a book-length narrative poem and several books on science. His shorter pieces have appeared in The Atlantic, Granta, The
New Yorker and the New York Review of Books, among other publications. His talk should prove fascinating to those interested
in either or both of these areas of human endeavor. Following the lecture, attendees are invited to observe part of
the rehearsal of Einstein's Dreams which will be in progress at the State Theatre
on Friday evening. There is no admission charge for this event.
